I know, at first the idea seems really weird, but these square needles have a number of advantages over the round ones we all know and love.
- They're easier on your hands -- one lady I know with arthritis says they're the only needle she uses now!
- Tension is more even and most people go up one needle size -- this means you can knit with bigger needles, which is usually easier.
- The cords DON'T kink or twist -- they have virtually no memory, so they're ready to use right out of the package.
- The longer circulars are very easy to use with the magic loop technique -- which means you don't need every length of cord to knit small items.
- Joining in the round with double points is easier and less likely to result in twisted stitches because the stitches don't slip around.
The needles are high-grade, copper-colored aluminum and the hooks are aluminum with rosewood handles.
